Windows 7 "not genuine"
I am dual booting with Windows Vista Ultimate and Win7 Ultimate (both retail copies).
last week I got a "not genuine" error message on the win 7 side and when I try to activate (re-enter cd key, etc) I get a 0x80070002 error code (access is denied).
I have my own computer repair business, and have never run into this before!
Thanks!

I spent a few hours on the phone with a tech from Microsoft. they ran a ton of different tools, tried the suggestions here on the forum, and in the end I did an in-place upgrade (repair install). retyped the key, and it was good to go!
still puzzles me as to what caused this issue in the first place, and I wonder if I'll see it again on any of my systems or customers..
thank you all for the replies! I took computer repair from a hobby to a living... it was more fun as a hobby!
